Earlier in 2018, I graded a short documentary entitled The Chair Maker: Lawrence Neal. It was amazing to work with the guys over at Falcon Productions once more. This was all shot on RED by Duncan Parker. Below is a small summary of the film written by Falcon productions:
Lawrence Neal has been making exquisite ladder back chairs for almost his entire life. The last in a series of masters and apprentices stretching back 5 generations and 130 years, he is a bastion of our cultural heritage.
A craftsman’s knowledge is precious. It is part of our collective history and a model for a more sustainable way of living. But many heritage crafts like Lawrence’s are critically endangered and risk being lost forever.
